While having short hair is ultra convenient in so many ways, the biggest annoyance is the frequency at which I must get a haircut. Luckily, I happen to discover on a recent class research trip that one of classmates cuts hair! I was a bit apprehensive at first, seeing as I would be his first westerner and 5th ‘client’ overall, but when he told me that he has a full kit AND apron – I was all in. Plus, one of the benefits of short hair is that it grows back fast – hence haircut frequency!
So, after Friday fika and before the school pub (I paid him in beer), we set up shop in one of the larger bathrooms in studio. Even though it took him almost two hours (he was quite nervous), I’m super thrilled with the results!
